Time to get festive at the LaplandUK Wishing Store in The Lexicon, Bracknell

For me, Christmas is about family. Time together and making memories.
I was really excited to kick off the festive season with an invitation to the LaplandUK Wishing Store in The Lexicon, Bracknell.
Children under the wishing tree at LaplandUK
We were welcomed to the store by elves Wish and Scribble who engaged with the children straightaway and invited them to listen to a story about Conker the Elf. They asked questions to the children and kept them involved in the story.

After the story session, we were invited to write to Father Christmas. The other bloggers’ children raced to the desks so mine waited patiently; they had a lovely chat with Wish who taught them how to do an elven hello!

The traditional desks are a lovely touch and so are the use of sticker seals on the envelopes. The whole process of writing letters is a great way to practice writing skills without the kids even thinking about it. Writing letters is a dying art in this world of technology so remembering that there are less advanced means of communications is wonderful.
Scribble helped the children to post their letters and they had a lovely chat about presents.

The stalls in the LaplandUK Wishing Store were festive overload (in a good way)! There were wishing glasses which make the world twinkle and the lanterns were stunningly beautiful. There were also a host of dressing up items, cuddly huskies (with outfits!) and other toys, Christmas decorations and yummy treats.

Time to tackle the shops! The Lexicon has so many well known brands including Smiggle, Boots, Matalan, Next and Marks and Spencer. With so many stores to choose from, buying that Christmas present should be easy…
However, if you have someone tricky to buy for, there is also the option of a Lexicon gift card which can be spent at over 75 shops and restaurants!
The Christmas market was full of tempting treats and presents. I loved admiring the decorations and was a little sad we couldn’t stay all day to see the Christmas lights all switched on 🙁

Lunch time treat to finish off our festive trip to The Lexicon: now, where to go, Zizzi, Nandos, TGI Friday or Bill’s…? Which would you choose?!
Do you enjoy treasure hunts? Well, pick up a form from the LaplandUK Wishing Store and get hunting around town. See if you can spot 5 hidden elves in the shop windows. There are 7 fab prizes to be won so good luck!
